I teach 3rd grade. Our last day of school is June 5th and I am due June 6th. My plan has always been to teach up until I go in to labor. I did that with my previous pregnancy. However, I am starting to really not feel well in the afternoons! I start to get cramping feelings and feel lots of pelvic pressure. My doctor said when I feel this way that I should sit or lay down for an hour or two at a time. Well, that's just not possible at school! By the time I leave, pick up my 5 year old, and go home I dont' have an hour or two to sit on the couch either. There's homework, dinner, bath time, bed time, then grading papers, lesson planning, etc. I think the stress of work and being on my feet all day is what is making me feel so crappy in the afternoons. Is anyone else planning on working 1/2 days during the last month or so of pregnancy? Has anyone's doctor actually recommended this?! (Or am I just being a big baby and need to suck it up because this is how everyone feels? )
