Hey ladies, FTM here... After much research DH and I decided to go with the Moonlight Slumber Starlight Support Supreme Visco foam crib mattress. My in laws offered to buy it for us and it has already been purchased. I am now finding out that the monitor we have (which also took much research to decide on), the AngelCare 3 in 1 movement monitor doesn't work with foam mattresses
Has anyone used both of these items successfully? Or can you recommend a great monitor to use with this type of mattress? We are terrified of SIDS and want to keep our little princess as safe as possible.

Re: Moonlight Slumber Starlight Support Supreme Visco Foam and ANGELCARE MOVEMENT
I'm not sure about the kind of matress you have, but we hadve the Angelcare monitor as well. We bought a piece of plywood that goes under the matress (between the actual frame and the matress itself). The movement monitor sits on top of that, and then the matress goes on top of the movement monitor. I'm not sure how that specific foam matress impacts it though. It looks like you might have some issues with it:

See the third question from the bottom.
I have both and the movement monitor (the part that sits under the mattress) works best as long as you have it on a firm surface, so a piece of plywood for example.
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.
