I was named after Lauren Bacall actress mostly in the 50's she was married to Humphrey Bogart. She is still alive today. My best friend growing up was also named Lauren, so her parents always called me Lauren Bacall, and still do to this day.

Yes I like my name, and I get excited when I see a little girl with the same name.

Edit: forgot my brothers: My Older brother was named after my dad, and my little Brother was named after my Uncle.

My mom said she named me after the phrase "nickel in" (from playing cards.)

Well, my name is the feminine version of my dad's name (Michelle and Michael). My mom was put under for an emergency C-section with me and when she woke up my dad introduced me with his name of choice. Thankfully my mom liked it.

Curiously, a woman who my dad super crushed on before he met my mom also shares my name.

I like my name. It's common, but not for my age or region. And it's a classic.

No one... I am the oldest and my two little sisters were named for my grandparents. I hate my name and definitely don't go by it... I had planned to change it legally, but my dad threatened to disown me... So yeah... It's a bit o a sore point with me

I was named after Marie Antoinette, yes "let them eat cake", yes beheaded.

I must say I loved Kirsten Dunst's portrayal of her.

Do you like your name? For the most part yes other then the fact that everyone and their mother uses my first name as a middle name and it is so old fashion.

I got dubbed Marie and my sister got Sinora Deyne for real?

My actual name is Susan, and I was named after my Dad's favorite cousin. He decided to name me Susan about 44 years ago. I am 24. He is 64 :P

I always loved my name.

My nickname is emeraudecephiro was after a Princess named Emeraude from the place Cephiro in the manga called "Magic Knights Rayearth"

Mom decided to name me Jimi after Jimi Hendrix (can't PIP from my phone), but my dad wanted me to have a feminine name, so Mom came up with the feminine version of Timothy, but with a J instead of a T (Timothea/Jimathea). Jimi is my nickname. I hate my real name worse than I ever hated Jimi, despite the "you're really a boy," and, "your parents wanted a boy" school boy comments. In my entire 35 yrs three whole people have gotten my given name right when trying to pronounce it, therefor I spend 20 min explaining to all 7,345,897,438 people in the world just how to pronounce Jim-uh-ThE-uh, not Jim-Ath-Eah, Jim-ath-Ea, or Jim-Atha, and, no, my grandparents weren't Jim and Thea, my mom was a stoner.

So, to answer question 2, I hate my name with a passion, but I like my nickname, and I actually got used to the jokes about my name being Jimi Brett, or, as my brothers call me, Jimi Bratt. I had a belt made with that nickname on it. (Yes, I'm from Kentucky. Wink )

My name is Hannah. I was named after a sign that said "Hannah's Haven" my mon saw in the way to the hospital to have me. Not sure if she is kidding or not. But I like my name.

Delia was my great-grandmother's first name on my father's side.

Marie is both my mom's middle name and my grandmother's first name.

I have always said that if I have a daughter I will do my best to give her Marie as a middle name as well, just to continue the tradition.

Right when I was born I was named Gabrielle after a soap star.

Then when I was adopted my name was changed, to Allison just because my parents liked it. My middle name is my mom's first name though.

My mom was on bedrest for the last eight weeks of her pregnancy with me, and she saw my first name in the credits of a soap opera (I think it was General Hospital, but I'd have to ask to be sure).

My middle name is after her BFF (who also used the same MN for her daughter).

My middle name, Elizabeth, is my Grandmother's (Dad's mom) middle name. She was Wanda Elizabeth. I love, love, love my name. Very classic I think...Megan Elizabeth. My sister is jealous b/c she does not care for her name, Jaye Meredith.

I cannot PIP an image of my grandmother as she passed away when my dad was 7. I am sad I never got to know her. But my dad's family has made a point in sharing so much about her that I feel like I do.

My full name is Laura Katharine (although I go by my middle name).

I was named after my mother. Her name is also Laura (this is why I've always been called by my middle name, my parents didn't think Katharine Laura flowed as well).

I wasn't named after Katharine Hepburn but my mother did get the spelling from her.

Oh and yes, I love my name! I also plan on passing down the first name of Laura to my own child one day.
