Anyone dealing with this or know how to deal with it?
DD slept great until she was about 4 months or so. Then she just kept adding wake ups. About 3 weeks ago it all went to heck! Now some nights she'll wake up twice, others 6 times! She goes to sleep fine. We did Ferber earlier on for her to learn to put her self to sleep, and she still does that. But now at night she wants to wake up, latch on, and then go to sleep. I've switched between getting up and feeding her (worrying it was a growth spurt, etc.), trying to do CIO with check-ins, trying CIO w/o check-ins, etc. Then one night she even threw me off by STTN. I admit I haven't been to consistent, but when I try to be consistent with Ferber, she throws some weird curve ball my way and will STTN or something weird like that!
Anyone going through something similar? Any ideas or commiseration? TIA
Re: Inconsistent Sleep!
Ladies, my LO is older at 7.5 months and he has never STTN either. He also did the same thing with his sleep. As a newborn he was up every 2-3 hours to eat (FF) and then around 2.5 months he started getting up once around 3:30am. I thought, yay! I can so do this when I go back to work, but then right at 4 months his sleep went straight to he!! in a hand basket. Up 2-3 times per night and his naps were even worse. We finally went back down around 1 up time per night with occasional crazy night thrown in here and there. At 7.5 months he is mainly back to getting up once a night to eat but trust me we still have 2-3- or even 4 times a night nights. The one thing to remember once your LO gets to 6-7 hours or more straight then he has STTN, ugh, just not our night. My LO has given me 8 hours ONCE, he slept from 8:30 pm to 4:3am
