1st baby,1st post!

DH & I just found out about a week ago that we're expecting our first child! We had been "casually" TTC - no charting, not really worrying about timing, etc. - for the past 4 months or so. I think this snuck up on us a bit faster than we expected, but we're thrilled nontheless, and we feel very lucky.

Lucky for me, I haven't had any morning sickness. Just some gnarly headaches that lasted only a few days, and I'm very, very tired. Definitely have sore ta-ta's, too! Yikes! Cramping, too, but I've been advised that's normal.

We've already confirmed the pregnancy through a blood test (b/c apparently taking 5 at home tests weren't enough for me? hah), but we have our first prentatal appointment next week. We've decided to wait to tell our family until we confirm a due date via ultrasound. It's hard waiting so long to tell everyone, but we want to be able to show our parents a picture & give them concrete info. I'm a high risk patient, so I think we're both cautiously optimistic about this....that's probably why we want to wait so long to tell anyone. Let's hope the week and a half flies by!!
