So I just found out via twitter that my kids were exposed to the chicken pox at daycare last week. Both of them have had the vaccination, but I've had two extremely mild cases in the past and have been told I may not be immune.
Obvs I'll be calling the Obstetrician tomorrow, but someone tell me that I don't have to worry so I can sleep tonight...
Re: exposed to chicken pox. *#@$
It is highly unlikely you have anything to worry about and you're right at the end. Deep breaths and you're gonna be fine!
You found out on twitter?!?! That seems like something that should have warranted a letter home, not just some mention on a social networking site.

Friday was their last day at daycare and I don't think the provider even knows yet. I'm friends with the mom who just had it confirmed today.
Though I'm pretty pissed the mum didn't give me the courtesy of a call or dm
Very unlikely you will contract it as you likely have at least some immunity and your children are presumptively immune. Maybe call your OB or whoever is on call just to set your mind at ease. Typically you would have symptoms by now if it was a week ago.
I agree that the school should have notified parents of the exposure personally at the school since VZ is a vaccine that some parents refuse.
