What happen to my baby?

Ok E was a huge bush until her two bottom teeth came in a couple of weeks ago and now I have this sweet little angel. The last few days she has also wanted me to hold her less and prefers to be on the ground with her toys! It is amazing!!  It makes me happy to see her more independent but sad at the same time to know she will be 6 months on Thursday and will be all grown up before I know it Sad

Anyone else experiencing their baby wanting to be more independent?

  • DS still likes to be held  quite a bit but he will play with his toys by himself and holds his own bottle. It is nice for him to be more independent since it frees up a bit of time for me but it also breaks my heart. A few weeks ago I was going through his old clothes that I had out in a bin and I saw some of his newborn jammies. I couldn't believe how much he had grown and it really struck me that I don't have that much of a baby anymore. It broke my heart but it was exciting too to think of all the things we can do with him as he grows.

  • I can see little signs that he doesn't want to be held as much.  I'm like you...happy he's making progress, but sad about my baby. Darn those cliches being right!

  • I'm seeing the opposite.  Ronin was always an independent baby, didn't want to be held very much until about two weeks ago.  I'm selfishly enjoying the fact that my baby finally likes to snuggle a bit, but I just think it's the teething.

The only time T really likes to be held now is if you're constantly moving or letting him jump.

    Same here!

This is us too. She's always been pretty independant, so I cherish the rare occasion where she will take a short nap on me. She loves it when I kiss her a million times while I'm holding her though :)
