When did you get to go home?

My little boy Cameron was born on March 7th at 28 weeks. Tomorrow he will be 33 weeks and the only goal left the nurses say is feedings. We are starting the "play feedings" today and next week he will be introduced to the bottle. My question is when did you all get to go home? The nurses say expect your actual due date (may 29th) but it seems like most of the babies in the NICU have been going home at 37 weeks? Just wanted to know what you all have expierienced.

DD was born at 22w 5 d - we went home 6 days before my original due date

my twins were born at 27wk5d. my DS had a lot of complications so he is a different story, but my DD was in the NICU exactly 10 weeks (so between 37-38 wks). At the end, she was just working on feeding. It seemed to take awhile for her to get the hang of it, but one day it just suddenly clicked....she pulled out her NG tube and took every bottle from then on so they sent her home. Good Luck!

My twins didn't come home until 5 days after my due date, but they just could not get over their constant bradys.

My LO was born at 30 weeks and came home after 40 days so right arounf 36/37 weeks, he was just working on feedings as well

My DD was born at 32 weeks 4 days. We spent 3 weeks in NICU and then 27 days in transitional care where she learned to feed and grow. She started bradying due to reflux in transitional care, which extended our stay quite a bit. She came home 4 days before my original due date. Every baby is different! Good luck!

My daughter was born at 30 wks, 4 days, and spent exactly 5 weeks in the NICU. she came home at 35 wks 4 days.

I had my hopes up that he would be home before his due date. Andrew was home 3 weeks after his due date, 43 weeks GA..

My 28 weekers came home at 38 weeks. Their hurdles were taking full nipple feeds, weaning off 02 and brady/desats.

My 26 weeker came home two weeks after her due date. Feedings were her biggest issue.

My 29-weeker is still in but will likely go home next week... He's 36 weeks GA. He had been doing great but his eye exam last week set him back somewhat and he started bradying and desatting again during meals.

My DD was 35 weeks but had lots of feeding issues. She came home 1 day after her due date, but we pushed for it. In retrospect, I think we should have kept her in another few days to improve her feeding or brought her home with an NG tube to assist in her eating more.

My 31 week LO came home at about 38 weeks. Feedings were also our biggest challenge- lots of "Ds" But, once he got it, he was home within a few days. Good luck to you!

The boys were born at 25w2d. Ryan went home 2 weeks after my EDD and Aiden went home almost 5 weeks after my EDD.

Carly was born 31 weeks, she was in the NICU 28 days, so came home 35-36 weeks

He was discharged 4 hours before my due date, so at 39w6d.:) He had major feeding issues and came home on oxygen.

My girls were born at 33w2d and they are being discharged after just under 4 weeks in the NICU (37 weeks).

Bowen was born at 32 weeks 4 days. He came home after 23 days, so at 35 weeks 6 days. We were set to go home around 34 weeks 6 days, but he had a brady so we ended up staying another week.

My 30 weeker spent eight weeks, and two days in NICU; she came home twelve days shy of my due date. Her last two weeks were pretty much just overcoming bradys and desats when she would eat and got in her car seat - it took four times for her to pass her car seat test.
