Let's play: What size clothes is your LO in?

I'm wondering where my little 6lb 8oz newborn baby girl went, because we just had to go out and buy her 12 month clothes. This is bittersweet to me. It's amazing to see her growing and learning new things every day, but some days I miss my little pumpkin wearing NB size clothing!

What size is your LOs wearing now?

I just put away all her 3-6 month stuff and pulled out the 6-9 month stuff yesterday.  Granted, I should have done it a couple of weeks ago, but I was in denial and she still "sort of" fit, but she'll be much more comfortable in the bigger stuff.

  • 3-6 months mainly. Most 6 months are too big still. And she's a house compared to birth! Lol.
  • DD is in 3-6 months, 6 months and some 6-9 months.  The bigger sizes are mostly pants because she is pretty long.  I feel the same way though, I'm wondering how these 6 months flew by so fast!

I put out all of her 6-12 month clothes this weekend. Anyone else find Gap sizing totally annoying?

  • depends on the brand/outfit she can fit in some 6 month, some 9months and some 12 month stuff.  She is super long.

  • my son was 5.15 and almost a month early. I think he's currently close to 20# at 7m!

I have had him in 9 months since about 5.5 months, but I can tell that he will be in 12m before long. Crazy!

  • We're in 6-9 or 6-12. The pants are all gigantic on her waste, but all of her 3-6 clothes are floods. However, my peanut still wears size 1/2 diapers!  Alas, mine are an ass-less people and I'm afraid DD is in for the same fate.

Either 12 or 18 months, depending on the brand. People keep telling me that his growth rate will slow down and we'll be able to stay in a size for more than a month or so but I'm still waiting! He has long legs so he grows out of the footed sleepers in the legs and feet before the tops. I think we'll have to switch to footless sleepers soon.

I just bought footless pjs in size 18m, I will use socks!

    6-9 months.

She can still wear some 6 month stuff.

  • 6 month or 6-9 month ... all because of length. It stinks though, because her waist is TINY, so many pants/shorts don't fit her ... I look for the "legging" style pants, because for some reason they tend to be smaller in the waist. In order to avoid the too-big in the waist issue, she also wears sleepers and one-piece pant outfits when she needs her legs covered.

Gap sizing drives me nuts...Newborn, 0-6, 6-12???!  Kind of a wide range. With that said DD is in most 9 month but 6-12 mo in Gap crap.

  • Mostly 3-6 but she still fits into most 0-3 tops.

Eta- I just realized she's in 0-3 pants... So 0-3 works for separates but 3-6 for onesies.

  • DS is in 6-9 month clothes now but he is quickly growing out of his jammies and some of his shirts. We will be pulling out the 12 month clothes very shortly and he will be in desperate need of some new PJs. Last time we weighed him he was 18.5 lbs (was 7.5 at birth)

  • Well, I feel like DS is itty bity compared to most of your babies! He still wears a lot of 0-3 but is started to just now fit into 3-6 (he is 5.5 months). It is funny everyone always comments on how huge he is but I think his short torso keeps him in smaller clothes much longer.

  • 12 month sized onsies and one-piece jammies and 9 month sized pants.  My son was 9 lbs 13.9 oz and 22" at birth and at 4 months old he weighed 20 lbs even and he was 26.5" long.  He'll be 6 months in two weeks and I fully expect him to be 22-23 lbs and around 28" long (based on my measurements here at home).
