I was wondering what are your thoughts on this stroller. Also, I know that you can purchase adapters so that you can hook the carseat in but, it is very pricy. Do you think I could get by without this? I understand I would have to purchase something to support my infant. Just wondering your thoughts on this.

Re: city mini double....
We have this stroller and love it. I bought the car seat adaptor, used it once and hated it. It's big and bulky and makes the stroller hard to fold. The seats recline almost all the way down, so you can put the baby in them pretty early. You can also get a Snuzzler (think that's what its called) to support the babies head.
I would definitly skip the adaptor.
I have the city mini single and love it. However, when we went to the store to check out the double I realized that the car seat adapter functions very strangely in the double. It kind of sticks out and high from the seat. It just seemed really wobbly and not secure at all to me.
I ended up getting the City Select. More pricey but I really liked how it functions. When I got to thinking about it, w/ a side-by-side, how would I get the kids out of the car? I always put the stroller right by the car door and if there is another car next to me I think that would be difficult to fit the stroller on the side of the car.
Also, we have a Chicco KetFit car seat for DS and it fits in the Combi twin without an adaptor. It doesn't even come close to fitting in the CM without an adaptor. The basket is also easier to access in the Combi and the snack tray is lower so my very short toddler can get her cup out without smacking herself in the head like she does with the CM.
If I has purchased the CM myself I would have been very upset. I'm not sure it was worth the money considering what I spent on the Combi twin...
Wow. The City Mini is NOT intended for a newborn! I don't know how you would even keep the baby secure inside this carseat! I couldn't put my son in it until he could sit up, around 6 months. I would not advise putting an infant in this stroller, I don't see how it isn't unsafe.
I had my newborn in my City Mini without the car seat and adapter at about 1 week old. The Baby Jogger website even says that the City Mini and City Elite are designed for newborns, without any sort of adapter, because they recline to nearly flat. Their legal team must believe it's safe!!
That being said, some car seats are better than others with the CM adapter. We have the peg perego infant seat, and the adapter, and it works great! Some friends with other car seats, though, say that it seems really unstable, doesn't snap in, etc. the adapter never made it more difficult to fold for us - and actually gave me an extra handle to use to pick it up!
This all refers to the single though; I don't have the double (yet)!
