Anyone hoping to have or not to have their baby on Friday?

My husband told me last night how he thought it would be cool to have the baby on Friday. 13 is his favorite number. We are due on Saturday.

I'm not really hoping for it, but it wouldn't bother me for her to be born on Friday the 13th.

My EDD is Friday, so for 9 months I have heard people say 'OOoohhh' when I tell them when baby is due. At this point though... I could care less. Baby can come whenever he/she wants as long as it's on their own!!!!

That would be a cool birthdate, but I'm not ready for baby to come so soon. I took inventory yesterday and realized that we don't have a single receiving blanket, clothing item that covers baby's legs under size 9mo, bath or first aid item. Time to hit Amazon!

I hope not, but only because I really want to get to at least 39 weeks! We have our regular checkup that day, and DH is hoping to go into labor and deliver on Saturday because that's his birthday. Smile

I just want a healthy baby that comes when he's ready!

We're due on Sunday, but we are definitely rooting for Friday the 13th. That seems like it would just be kinda cool. Not that I want him coming earlier than he's ready.

We did this last weekend. We went to BRU and literally filled 2 wagons full. It is disgusting how much someone so small needs.

Though at this point I just want baby to come out, if it's a girl, we are naming her after DH's great aunt, who was born on 4/13. So it would be pretty darn cool to have her share her name AND her birthday.

I manage to hurt myself each and every Friday the 13th, so I rather not go into labor then. Maybe the day before would be good so that I'd already be in a hospital when I hurt myself.

That being said, since I'm due on Saturday, this kid can get here whenever she wants!

I'm scheduled for a c-section on Friday (doctor picked the date, not me).

I've got no problem whatsoever with this being the baby's date of birth, but truth be told I am a little nervous about having major surgery on Friday the 13th.

So the night before the inlaws are taking the kids and hubby and I will be watching a "Friday the 13th" movie marathon. Just a little cheesy fun to try and take away the birth anxiety.

Ironically, this will be the 13th great-grandchild on my mom's side and will share the same birthday as my grandma on my dad's side. I say this is an omen that the 13th will be a lucky day.

Either way, I'm looking forward to meeting my little girl.

I'm still a little early but I'd love for baby to arrive on Friday! I got engaged on a Friday the 13th and 13 is my lucky number for other reasons too. C'mon baby!

Thirteen is my lucky number. I think it'd be neat to have him then. Though, I think it'd be neat to have him any day.

FWIW, I don't understand the significance behind "Friday the 13th".

LOL... if i haven't had the baby by Friday than YES I HOPE TO HAVE HIM FRIDAY... LOL... The sooner the better now... I am miserable...My original due date has come and gone... so i guess the new date is more accurate...

The fact that it is Friday the 13 has nothing to do with why I don't want him on Friday. My aunt's b-day is that day and she would never, ever, EVER let it go that they share a birthday. My doctor even offered to induce me that day and I said thanks, but no thanks. Friday-Monday is off limits for him to come because that is a weekend full of family birthdays.

Not that it really matters but I am weird abut numbers. DH and I got married rather quickly cuz I told him we could get married in 2011 or 2014. I was in no rush and it was his choice. I refused to get married in 2012 or 2013. He did NOT want to wait. We were both ready so we started TTC (and succeded) before we got married. Honestly, the fact that I am having this baby in 2012 bothers me slightly. I would be freaked out by a fri the 13th b day big time.

I am a total wiero and I just don't like those numbers. We got married 11/11/11 even though I knew it would be a super popular day. I just loved the numbers. I know, I am a dork.

I'm being induced on Friday. I am a 13 baby so it doesn't bother me in the slightest. DH says her being born Friday makes him even more of an odd man out because my birthday is the 13th, LO will be the 13th and DD is the 26th, so he's the only one without a multiple of 13 in his birth date.
