I can smile!!

Not perfect yet, but about 75% back to normal. So happy!! I'll never take that for granted again :) And we moved to a new hospital room--one with a bed for me! A week in that pull-out chair was killing my back. One more week here (hopefully) and then maybe a few days at home before we head to the children's hospital. DS is calling my SIL "mama" so I need to get back to that little guy soon!

    That's great news, especially given your less than stellar recovery situation right now!  Huge hugs to you, and your whole family, I'm hoping that soon you will all be settling into your new normal life together, at home and healthy!!  (((HUGS))))

    Awww, thanks! It's made me think a lot about my friend and you ladies who had long NICU stretches. I've only been here a week and I'm going crazy, so I can only imagine how you felt!

    I was glad to read the title of this post. I found some pictures of me from genevieves birth the other day and thought about you. I looked so horrible in those photos, it was painful to look at them but also made me realize how much better i look today.

    Madybug: I know, it's crazy. I have never felt so down in my whole life. It really ruined the joy of those first couple weeks. I wish I'd had a crystal ball then to see how much better it would look. Thank you for all your advice and support :) do you remember your eye being the slowest to come back? Mine still won't blink with the other one, but hopefully with time it will.
