Well, I love it...it's my daughter's name We get compliments on it all the time! It's a little more popular than I normally would like, but it's pretty much the only name I loved.
It does seem to be a really popular pet name...I've gotten a few "oh, my dog/cat is named Lucy" before... It kinda bothered me at first, but not anymore. Those people just chose to give their pets an awesome name
I like it. It has had a recent surge of popularity in my area. I think this is because it pairs well with some of the other popular names right now. Sib sets like Abby, Lucy, Sophie, and Emma are very common in my area.
We took it off our list because I had concerns it wouldn't age well or wouldn't be professional enough unless it was a nickname for something else - and DH didn't like any of the longer names it could be a nickname for.
I love it! DH vetoed it for us because of the teasing potential of "Lucy Goosey" but that really doesn't bother me at all. Kids will always find something to make fun of.
Love! It was a top contender for this baby if he had been a girl. I think it ages just fine. I knew a Lucy in college and she was just a lovely, sweet woman. I never once thought that her name sounded young or immature.
Lucy is one of those names that everyone likes, but few people LOVE. For that reason, I think it's a great choice---you'll get lots of compliments and positive reactions, but your daughter will run into very few other Lucy's.
It would be my number one girl name if it didn't sound silly with our LN.
I think it works as a standalone name.

TTC 1 since 10/12
NTNP Fall 2013 to focus on a healthier lifestyle
I love it! I think it's sweet, feminine, and works well on any age.
Just so you know, it's the name of approximately 8 zillion dogs (including one of mine). But that doesn't really make me like it any less for a human.

Lucille is LO's mn. I love it.
A FB friend just named her baby that with the mn Pearl. LOVE!
I think either Lucy on its own or a longer version with the nn Lucy is fine (I prefer having the longer version, but that is just me).
This. It's a gorgeous name and I'd love to use it myself, which is why I will forever regret giving a childhood dog this name.:)

I love it and it would totally be on my list if my sister's dog wasn't named Lucy.
And two of our neighbors' dogs are also named Lucy. But I don't see it as a 'dog' name the way I do Sadie or Cooper. Don't know why.

Perhaps I'll work on him to add it back on!
Lucy is my first name (I don't go by that though). I have really grown to love it..it's a lot more popular now than it was when I was growing up.
My only issue is that it seems like almost everyone I know has a dog named Lucy.

DH likes this name so we have it on our list. I like it as a good saint's name with some fun feast day traditions.
It is a stand alone name.
It sounds fine with your LN.
