lost her baby over spring break...

She was about 26 weeks along I believe... she was at school today! She did not directly tell me... we have a program here called Future Promises that assists teen parents. How should I aproach her about this? Should I wait until she comes to me...should I call her? I remember getting calls right after Sofia passed and not wanting to talk to anyone...

Re: one of my students
Wow, that's hard. I would definitely reach out to her. I'm sure she's going to hear a lot of awful things like "It was for the best" since she was a pregnant teen.
I guess it depends on your relationship with her. If you're not comfortable approaching her then a note is a very good idea. Or can you ask to see her after class or something when you could see her alone?
I think your perspective could be very valuable to her, coming to her from woman to woman and not adult to teen, like I'm sure most of the conversations have been about her pregnancy. You could explain how devastating this experience is, regardless of age or the circumstances of the pregnancy.
I'm so sad for her.
Poor girl
I would reach out to her. Even if it is only a "I know where you've been, I've been there too. I'm here if you want to talk"
