Pregnant after IF

Ugh!!! Waiting on results

So my glucose test was a week ago tomorrow (Tuesday).  I also had my TSH levels checked (I take meds daily for my thyroid), a complete blood panel, and a urinalysis.  I called on Friday and was told that while my results were in, the doctor hadn't reviewed them yet and they were short staffed Friday so if I didn't hear back that day it'd probably be early this week.

I just called again (I have today off and since I go back to work tomorrow I figured it'd be easier to get a hold of them today then have them call me, miss the call, and have to call back).  Same answer--results are in, but doctor hasn't reviewed them yet.

It seems like everyone else gets their results the NEXT DAY!  Mine will be given to me a week later, at best.  (She did tell me that I'd probably hear tomorrow...but you can bet if I haven't I'll be calling them again.)  My last TSH check was when I was 9 weeks pg...needless to say I'm a little nervous about my results in case I have to alter my meds.

Just venting because I'm frustrated is all.

Re: Ugh!!! Waiting on results

  • Ugh, that is frustrating!  I'm sorry.  My theory is that if it's bad news, they'll tell you right away.  And if everything is ok, it's fine if the doctor sits on the results for a few days.  So maybe it's good news.  But frustrating to wait either way!  GL, hope you hear from them soon and all is well.

  • You can go to the hospital and get a copy of the results yourself. They print a range and give you your numbers. It's pretty simple to read...just a thought, if you live close ;)

Can I get them at the satellite medical buildings too, or do I have to go to the actual hospital?  I don't see me going to the hospital itself, but the medical building where I went for the test is only 10 minutes from my house, if that.  I still didn't hear anything today Angry and I got out of work too late to call.  They will for sure be hearing from me tomorrow.

Unfortunately you can only get labs at the main hospital :( they took our privileges to print them away like a year ago... I know it sucks!
