Beta drawn, red spotting, and I'm a B!tch

I'm sorry I?ve been so dramatic as of late.  I'm terrified of my results of my beta today.  I have had some red spotting this morning, without cramps, however I had mild cramps last night. 

When the phlebotomist was verifying that I am who I say I am, she said it's hard to believe you are older than me (I have a baby face).  She asked how I felt when I turned 30, because she had a hard time.  I explained to her that it wasn't a big deal.  She then says, I just haven't accomplished much, all I can say is I have four kids.  I then said, that?s quit the accomplishment. She proceeds to say, well I don't really think so anyone can have kids.  Me being the bitter IF I am, I said, well that?s not true I just finished my third IVF, not everyone can have kids.  I made her feel like an @ss hat.  She apologized to me multiple times.  Why am I such a b!tch?

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    My phlebotomist works in my RE's office and she likes to talk about how she had "oops" pregnancies three times.  I've come close to a b!tchy response many times.

    You are not a b!tch for saying that!  WTH, your comment was appropriate in response to her comment...it's the truth!  Not everyone can have kids very easily.  Give yourself a hug, not to worry.

    And FX that your results are amazing and you have the standard issue spotting that lots of ladies experience.  Good Luck!

    Ugh! I do not think you are a b! She should learn to not make comments like that because she doesn't know whose blood she is drawing. A learning lesson for her, unfortunetly at your expense. I hope your spotting is nothing and your beta comes in excellent!

    You are so not a b!tch.....Everyone gets called out for the things that they say every once in awhile. I think it is a good thing...it keeps you on your toes. It is true, you were not saying anything that is not true! Yes She probably was just making conversation, but from now on She will probably think twice about that line of conversation next time.....and maybe you have spared some other IF'er from hearing that in the future. Hopefully the phlebotomist will tell her co-workers of how she opened her big mouth and then "the word" will be passed on.

    Not a b!tch at all, mm!!!  I think it's a completely appropriate response and it drives be crazy how many people think that "anyone can have kids."  All my body parts continue to be crossed for you -- I really hope that you're sharing some great news soon!
