TMI-So during Easter dinner I started bleeding like crazy. After making the 1 1/2 hr drive home to my hospital turns out I have a small (2.5 cm) subchorionic hematoma. Bled heavy yesterday after my exam but as of this morning it has pretty much stopped.
Anyone have any experience with this? I am kind of nervous but I promised the dr I wouldn't google it.
Re: We have a bleeder- subchorionic hematoma
Good - stay away from Google, it is the devil!
I had a heavy bleed at 7 weeks caused by a SCH - blood with clots convinced me it was over. Turned out all was fine. Throughout the first tri I had similar bleeds and then brown spotting in between each bleeding episode until the SCH was no longer found on u/s at my 12 week u/s.
My doctor told me not to lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk but I had no other restrictions.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I had one too at 16 weeks. It was gone by my 20 week appt. I only bled for 2 days though
try not to stress but take it easy

Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Yes, stay away from Google!
Sorry to hear about the SCH but they are apparently common in IVF pgs. I had a small one with my pg that caused only some light spotting around 7 weeks. It went away on it's own I think by 12-13 weeks.
That's good that yours is small. And yes, they can cause quite a bit of bleeding, which is scary. I am sure yours will dissolve on its own in a few weeks. Good luck!
