Sorry if this is TMI for some but Friday i had my annual pap while at my 2nd prenatal checkup with my Midwife. Durring my exam she informed me i had the unique uterus some women get while pregnant where it turns a "beautiful shade of purple"
I was so caught off guard by it, i didn't have the chance to ask further questions. She said it to me in a cheery tone so i wasn't concerned, just curious so when i got home I googled it about a hundred times and found no information!
Has anyone else ever heard of this?!?!
Re: My uterus is WHAT?!
Perhaps, because that would have made more sense to me...i've heard of that happening in pregnancy, but i know she def. said uterus which is why it caught me off guard
Haha! Very true!
If she said uterus, she misspoke (as you can't see your uterus during a speculum exam, only your cervix). Anyhow, the coloring she was referring to is Chadwick's sign...a completely normal sign of pregnany in some women. HTH :-)
