Not sure if I'm pregnant

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can provide some insight.  I'm having some pregnancy symptoms, but not sure if it's the real thing.

My husband and I use protection and/or the pull out method and haven't been trying to get pregnant.  A few weeks ago (3/21) my period came a day early (which isn't a big deal because I am not always on the same day) but it didn't last quite as long.  For a few weeks I've been feeling a bit different, but I worry that it is all in my head.  My back has been aching quite a lot.  Last week I decided to take a home pregnancy test, it came back negative.  I've been trying to just put it out of of my mind, but just as of this week, one of my breasts seems to be bigger.  I am also cramping and having weird feelings in my uterus area.  All of these things could be caused by things other than pregnancy, but wondering if I should take a test again?  I don't want to get disappointed as I was starting to warm up to the idea of being pregnant.  Maybe I should just wait until late April to see if I miss that period?  But that's a long time away!

Any guidance would be appreciated!

  • I would take another test.  Most women do not feel much different when they are first pregnant, they feel like they are going to start their period, cramps and such.  Good luck.

  • i would test again! you said your period didn't last as long. does that mean it was cut short? what about the consistency of your menstrual blood? was that regular (heavy/light) within normal range? the most accurate test would be a blood test at your doctor! tell him/her you've been experiencing a slightly weird cycle and they can tell you what is going on if anything is at all. our periods change sometimes though, and vary from woman to woman. as our hormones change, and thats what triggers our periods, it could make them seem a little wacky. the pull out method is no where near 100% darling! if you dont want to get pregnant. use condoms or birth control. but if you do want to get pregnant he needs to always ejaculate in the vagina. (of course you already knew that) :) i wish the best for you!
