did you test out your trigger?

Why or why not?

If you've done IVF or FET more than once and you're doing it again, will you test out your trigger this time around?

DX: Unexplained/??? MFI issues

Our lil' lost sparks:
5w3d loss 7/30/10 - EDD March 2011
8w loss 4/15/11 - EDD November 2011
8w3d loss 8/2/12 - EDD March 2013
4w c/p loss 10/29/12 - EDD July 2013

Long story: trying on our own + testing testing testing with 6 rounds of Clomid, more testing, injectables + TI, laparoscopy - one tube blocked, 2 IUIs with Follistim...BFNs.
RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal

Moving on to IVF.

IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy

Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427. 1st u/s showed a healthy heartbeat! EDD 2/16/14

After 4 years of hoping and heartbreak, our sweet little bean was born on 2/19/14
We are so in love with her.

    I did just because I was curious. The last time I tested out a trigger was an IUI almost a year ago. This time I just wanted too! It took 5 days to test negative. The first time it took three days...weird!

    IVF #2 Feb/March 2012 ET of 2 on day 3 4/7 BFP! 5/1 u/s blighted ovum
    IVF #3 July 2012 ET of 3 on day 3 7/24 BFP!

    I'm not doing IVF, but IUI and I tested out my trigger this last cycle. After a handful of iui's it was the first time I'd done it. My reasoning was that I wanted to know that when I got my beta and if it was positive, that it wasn't from the trigger. I took a trigger booster at 3dpiui to help with my progesterone. And, even with that extra shot, it was out by 10/11dpiui. Now that I know, I'll never do it again. The stress of seeing it and then not seeing it again was too much for me.

    I did for IVF and it remained in my system longer than I expected and I had false expectation. I don't think I'll be doing it next time :/

    I did for my IUIs and plan to for my IVF. I bought a whole package of Wondfos just for this reason. I have to. I am the type of person that cannot stand not knowing what is going on.

    During my IUIs, the Ovidrel was out of my system after about 3-5 days so there was no chance of confusing it with a BFP. I'll be triggering with Novarel for IVF so I am not sure if it will be the same or different. For that very reason, I have to know. 

    Single Mother by Choice. Life didn't work out the way I planned so I did it on my own. IUI #s 1-3, unmedicated = BFN, IUI #s 4-6, 50mg Clomid, Ovidrel = BFN IVF #1: 23R, 20M, 17F. 5 day transfer 2 blasts. 2 Snowbabies BFP 6dp5dt, Beta #1 7dp5dt = 58, Beta #2 9dp5dt = 114, Beta #3 10dp5dt = 187 1st Ultrasound = 5/3, not much to see yet. 2nd Ultrasound = 5/17, TWINS!!! Hospital Bed Rest at 32 weeks due to pre-ecclampsia and severe edema. Audrey Grace, 5lbs9oz, & Lydia Louise, 6lbs, born via emergency c-section on 12/6/12 at 36w1d My IVF Journey

    When I've tested mine out before it hung around for 10 days, since I usually have short cycles (12DPOish) I'm not sure what to do this time.

    This is exactly what I did. IUI with Ovidrel trigger lasted 6 days, and it was pretty much the same for Novarel with IVF. I actually don't know what I will do this time. There's no trigger for FET, but last cycle I started testing early because I figured it if was going to be positive I wanted to know as soon as possible. But after two chemical pregnancies, I don't think a BFP will be reassuring. I will definitely test before beta, but maybe just the day before.

    I figure it doesn't hurt!!! I did it last iui and I'll do it again (: I just had my iui this morning!
    Egg Donor 4 Times! Stopped BCP December 2009 3 rounds clomid unmonitored through OB = BFN IUI #1 200mg Clomid (IUI) - BFN IUI #2 200mg Clomid (IUI) - Chemical IUI #3 Cancelled (IUI) - Overstimulated Follistim Round #1 (TI) - BFN Follistim Round #2 (TI) 125iu's day 3-11, high estradiol CD7, CD9 u/s shows lots of follicles doing nothing, adding Repronex and lowering Follistim dose starting CD9. Repronex for 4 days. Trigger Shot pm of CD 12; BFP 9 dpo! Beta 8/21: 48!! Beta 8/23: 113 Progesterone=39 First U/S 9-10 at 6 weeks 4 days = Identical TWINS!!!!     I didn't test it out the first time, and I should have, because I tested a day or two early (I have 12 day LP) and I got a positive, but it was a false positive from the trigger.. 

    The following cycles I tested it out and it stayed in much longer than I expected it to.
