I'm a little bored at work - where do you go to check out nursery ideas? I've already checked out Project Nursery and Pinterest...nothing new. Any other good ideas?
I don't get to look, yet. We're stuck in our one bedroom for about another year, but we planned it that way... In hindsight, I wish we hadn't resigned our lease. But this makes more sense.
Cheap Chic Nursery is really good if you have expensive taste without a matching budget. My nursery is almost done (Just need the crib and little accessories) and I've only spent about 300 dollars so far. That includes a dresser with changer on top, a big bookcase that doubles as a bench, paint, rug, and random decorations. Check it out!
This time, I've already latched onto a theme (Jungle Animals) and I just do google searches and look through the images I find on there. Then I sometimes find good websites via the images.
I love reading blogs of DIYers who do household projects, so I Google for DIYers who have done nurseries in their homes since most of the time, they're a little more budget conscious than the design sites.
I knew I wanted giraffe. But I didn't know what color to use. So I googled giraffe nursery, and saw a beautiful sage green giraffe nursery. Color chosen!
Then I searched on Etsy for giraffe custom bedding, that could be made with sage color accents. I also custom made a clock on cafepress for $16, bought a $6 light switch cover off ebay, am using green/sage toy baskets, and there ya have it!

I hope you get some new places to look!

I think Project Nursery is what I used last time.

One of my favorites (even though their taste is a polar opposite to mine) is Young House Love's nursery reveal.
I try to find bloggers who share their nurseries like that. I love seeing all the detailed pictures and the breakdown of how they spent their budget.
