Outlander Ladies... now that I am done.. sniffle...

Did you read the Lord John Grey series?  

I finished Echo in the Bone today.  I have spent the past 8 months reading the Outlander series and while I am looking forward to reading other books, I... ok... gosh.. this makes me sound like such a dork... but I will miss Jamie and Claire ok?!  I have read these books everyday for the past 8 months, for thousands of pages and now what?! I have to wait until 2013 to find out what that heck happens to Ian and Rachel, and William and Jamie and Claire... sigh...

So is the Lord John Grey series worth it? To be honest I wasn't that big of a fan of his until the last book anyways, so is it worth going backwards to read about him?

    I liked it a lot, but really it's different.  They are essentially mysteries - with the exception of the latest one, The Scottish Prisoner which actually includes Jamie during his time at Helwater.  In any case, they are good.  Same time frames roughly, and you do learn more about LJG and he does talk about Jamie and Claire quite a bit.  So, there is that.  But for the most part now we're all just waiting...waiting...waiting...

    I really liked the first outlander book but am having trouble really getting into Dragonfly in Amber.

    I've read all of Outlander, and I've tired the LJG series, but I just can't get into it as much as Outlander. Also, when I was reading Outlander, the thoughts in my head were with a Scottish accent. :)
