Lasting pain after 2nd section..

Hi all - I had my second c-section 2 weeks ago.  Just to the left of my bellybutton I am still experiencing some severe pains and skin burning.  I know the skin burning are nerve endings but the pain can be pretty intense, constant and sharp.  I will bring it up to my OB at my follow up if it isnt gone in a couple weeks but I was just wondering if any of you have experienced this and can tell me what is going on.  I am afraid that during one of my coughing fits or a sneeze that I may have caused some kind of internal injury.  Any thoughts?

ETA: The pain only occurs when I am standing....as soon as I sit, it goes away.  It's really depressing me because I cant get anything done.

    I don't know if it helps but I always had more severe pain where they did the first cut and remember you aren't just cut on the outside....your uterus is also cut.

    I would call the dr. sooner...actually today.  You may need to be seen earlier or need more pain meds to let the healing happen better.  No reason to be in so much pain!

    This sounds really similar to what happened to me.  I had some really severe pain on my left side, but it was more towards my incision (it was not actually my incision tho).  It also went away when I sat down.  It was very depressing to not get anything done and I felt guilty asking for help because I was in absolutely NO pain sitting down.  It didn't take much standing before the pain would get so intense I couldn't take it.

    I felt like it would never go away.  I think I over did it.  I took a whole week off from doing anything and I decided to not feel guilty.  That really helped a ton.  I'm not sure if I would have done that sooner if my pain would have gone away quicker or not, but I started to feel better at 5 weeks PP.

    Pain medication did not seem to help with the pain at all.
