3rd Trimester

post 34-36 weeks

How often do you have a mini-freakout:

OMG - I'm going to have a baby!!

OMG - I'm going to be a mom!!

OMG - I'm going to have to go through labor/surgery!!

One of these happens to me almost once a day

  • tbh, in some way i think i am still in shock/denial and it hasnt completely hit me for some reason.
Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months. Lilypie First Birthday tickers
  • In a way, it still doesn't seem real. I guess it takes awhile for stuff to sink in for me.
  • 1 & 2 hit me.  #3, is more of that I'm looking forward to it.  I see it as a challenge.  Is that weird?
  • oh yeah - I'm still in shock - like "I just wanted to know if I COULD get pregnant"  I wasn't quite ready to have a baby - but then I look at my PILE of baby gear and go OMG - this is really happening. . .

  • Maybe it's because this is my second, but I am more like:

OMG, I'm only going to be at work a couple more weeks

    OMG, I need a carseat

OMG, I better get some maxi pads

Like it's not so much about the actual baby arriving as about the rest of my life and how unprepared I am this time around!

  • OMG my husband works in VA and I work in Baltimore and I'm delivering where---this freaks me out.
