neck support

I can not remember for the life of me when it is ok to take the neck support out of the car seat?

    The tag on ours said to use up to 11 lbs. I took it out when LO was around 12 lbs and he actually looked uncomfortable in it.

    Thanks!! I looked on mine and it didn't say she doesn't even use it she is set on leaning forward and looking around or using it as a pillow

    We took it out when he started looking really cramped.
