we're striking out... everything we've swatched is too yellow or too peachy or too pink... or too close to ecro/off-white. I want a rich cream color for the nursery with bright white trim, thought it would be easier to find
Try "Natural" by Valspar. You can find it at Lowe's. It is like a light khaki color. We used it in our basement and it looks awesome with bright white trim.

We used Napery by Sherwin Williams in our nursery. It is a really pale yellow that looks very creamy. I just posted a bunch of pictures of our nursery on my blog if you want to take a look.
Re: s/o paint, rec a neutral cream paint?
This might be too yellow for what you want, but we used "Downy" by Behr.
Try Sherwin Williams Kilim Beige. We used it throughout our house. VERY neutral...doesnt pull pink or yellow like a lot of "beige" colors.
Good Luck!
