Home alone with both kids. I hate DH's work. (whine)

Sadie was born at 2:27 Friday pm. DH left the hospital to go to work around 11 am Saturday, came back to take us home around 2 pm. He went back to work last night for a while. He's been at work since 9 am, and he doesn't know when he'll get to come home. 

I've taken the night shift both nights since I'm breastfeeding. Sadie sleeps all day, which is nice, but I can't send my 4 year old to her room and play because I don't want her to feel unwanted.

Thankfully, this should be his last hard deadline for a while (though it seems they keep giving him additional stuff so he has new deadlines). 

I just want a **!ng nap.

 

EDIT: no sooner did I hit post than DH came in and said he was taking DD to Wal-mart so I could sleep with the baby. Thank god.

    Hoping you both got a little nap and you're recharged when you wake. Naps are sometimes glorious things!

    Hang in there!  My DH had to leave the day our LO was born to finish a job for a client. DH works construction and couldn't leave someone without a kitchen!  I do have a hard time sometimes when I have all 5 kids and it was a rough night the night before, but DH always backs me up as soon as he gets home even though I know he's tired!

    I understand. I'm still waiting for LO to arrive but DH works 7 days a week and I know he won't be around much. I hope I can break him away long enough to take me to the hospital! LOL - kind of! Huh? Fortunately, I have my parents around to help and DD has been far more interested in hanging out with them lately anyway. Sometimes it's just nice to have DH there though, isn't it? Hang in there and vent anytime you need!
