2 month old with a cold, questions!

My daughter caught a nasty cold. I'm trying to help her congestion by letting her sit in bathroom with me while I run a hot shower for some steamy air. Then I try to suck out at much snot as possible with an aspirator bulb. She is also drinking a lot more milk than normal. She's had the cold for 2 days and today her poop has turned bright green. Is this related to the cold? Is there anything else I can do to help her feel better? She isn't sleeping well at night anymore waking up 3 times (she had been sleeping 8-9 hrs straight before the cold). Any tips would be much appreciated.

    I'm so sorry for your little one! Mine has the same thing and I'm hoping he gets better I don't want to spend his first Easter at the hospital :( hope your LO gets better!

    Just want to suggest that you get a Nose Frida for sucking out the snot instead of the aspirator bulb. I promise you it will work better! You can't get it in stores (that I know of), so you'll have to order one off the Internet.

    Use a humidifier at night and saline spray/drops to get the bogeys out! Also, sleeping on an incline, like in the RNP, helps :)

    Buy a Hydrasense Nasal Aspirator. It is a total godsend! My 2 month old has had 2 colds now. Those bulbs are crappy. Google it for proper instructions on its use though. I felt funny using it the first time and was reassured when I saw the instructional video online that I was doing it right. It is available at all drug stores. Good luck!
