NOW I feel pregnant...

Last night, I met an old family friend and her 3 kids who are in town for the weekend for dinner.  We ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer, which I normally LOVE.  The minute I saw it, I felt queasy.  But since it was my idea to order, and I didn't want to share the news (our families don't even know yet!), I forced myself to eat a couple bites.  BIG HUGE MISTAKE.  This baby DOES NOT LIKE SPINACH.  I made myself eat a couple bites of my ceasar salad (mainly to eat the chicken on top).  I did not feel great and I could tell I was going to pay for it!

And, I did.  I still am.  Horrible diarrhea (I honestly can't remember the last time I had diarrhea - YEARS) and after feeling like I should throw up, I finally did.  I'm hungry, but have no appetite.  The thought of anything makes me sick.  In denial, I took my temperature (thinking maybe I caught a bug or something).  Nope, no bug.  Definitely pregnancy.  I can no longer say, "I feel fine!  I haven't had any sickness at all!".

Anyone else spending their Sunday like this??

That's funny because 6w3d was exactly the same day things turned worse for me too. Maybe you'll be the same.. at around 9w3d I started to feel better again. The queasiness isn't gone completely but its subsided a lot. For now anyways lol.. never know what pregnancy brings.

  • I feel ya. This morning I woke up and started to prepare some of the food for our dinner tonight, and I had to stop a few times so I could go attempt to throw up. I am also hungry, but I see food and then feel like gagging. Some of my family is coming over today and we don't plan on telling them today, so I will be trying to fake it the rest of the day.

I can't even stomach the thought of making the dish I was supposed to make for Easter. It has creamed corn in it. No way. Lol

  • I havent had MS with any of my three pregnancies but this one and my second one I have struggled with some foods. Today I made my favorite side- a broccoli salad. I wasn't repulsed by it or anything but I would normally eat a huge helping- this time- I barely ate like 3 spoons of it!! I did not feel sick but you know that feeling when you are chewing something and you are wondering if you will be able to swallow it?? lol
It was all worth it! BabyFruit Ticker
  • Definitely know what you're feeling. I have been so tired these past couple of days. I feel queasy all the time, and I don't really have an appetite. I feel guilty for not eating enough or drinking enough water/juice. I've taken some unisome (which makes me even more sleepy) and also tried the vitamin B. My ginger ale is my best friend at the moment. Just trying to stay positive and thinking this is only temporary.

  • Mine kicked in full force at 6 weeks. It sucks so bad! I recommend zofran, it is seriously a life saver. This is only if natural remedies don't work for you. None worked for me and I would throw up all morning, afternoon, and part of the evening. It feels so good to finally be able to eat again!

this is me exactly!!!  I start chewing something and then I don't know if I can make it through..ugghh so gross.  Dinner is usually a challenge because I can feel fine about eating something and then I take one bite and I just can't do it..

  • Hope you feel better! Mine started around 8 weeks, I think, and is still going strong  :(
