Infection 5wks post c/s?

i was very pleased with how fast my recovery went and how well my incision healed. but since 3 days ago it's been sore again and swollen on top of the scar,  and now it's red too.. i must admit, i've started picking up dd since week 3 and also wore a hip shrinking belt a couple times, which may have caused it.

anyone else had this? did you get antibiotics or did it clear on it's own? not sure if i should be running to an er or just wait it out and have it checked at my 6week appointment next week?

    If it were me I would call my OB and see what they say. I didn't have any problems with mine so I have no other advice, sorry. My good friend works at an ER and I know she said they have seen some pretty serious infections(not trying to scare you) so if you think infection is possible I wouldn't put it off until your 6 weeks check up.     Thanks, I eventually texted my ob (she gave us her mobile nr for emergencies) and she said to take some Mypaid (paracetamol ?+ ibuprofen analgesia) and keep it dry and clean. If it looks worse in 24hrs, she wants to see me and probably give antibiotics.. it's been about 24hr now and doesn't look much better (although the redness has subsided a bit) but it doesn't look worse. i'll give it another couple hours.. thanks ladies!
