Jeans still fit!

I was so happy tonight when I had to find something to wear and really didn't want to wear my maternity jeans yet.. I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and my regular jeans still fit with baby number 2. I never wear jeans so wasn't sure if they would fit. I know with my daughter i was just 6 month pregnant when we were going to Florida- and i happened to pack both regular and maternity jeans and ended up wearing the maternity in Florida since I packed last minute and didn't try either on. I will be happy to make it to 5.5 months this time as I know you get bigger fast the second time around..

Re: Jeans still fit!

  • I am still wearing mine, but they are not comfortable for long periods of time any more.

  • I have one pair that still fits. But like PP said, after a longer period of time they start to hurt! After sitting in church and out for lunch today, they were starting to get tight and the minute I got home, I put on my yoga pants!
I have a pair of mat jeans that I wear for work, but they are a bit big and don't stay up very good yet!

  • I'm very jealous. My pants stopped fitting about 2 weeks ago. I can get them on I just can't button or zip them for the life of me.

  • Ugh jealous, lol.  I know with twins I was expecting to get bigger sooner but I haven't been able to wear my old jeans since about 9 weeks, lol.  And at that point I had only gained 4 lbs.

  • I'm down to 2 pairs of regular pants that fit.  2 pairs of jeans and 1 khaki.  I don't know how much longer they are going to fit so I'm avoiding my maternity clothes until its no longer possible.

  • We went over to a friends house last night.  I was looking for something that didn't make me look so "pregnant" and tried on my jeans.  I was also pleasantly surprised that they still fit.  Now I know I have one outfit to wear to Vegas this upcoming week.  SCORE!!!

  • I'm going to have to break down and buy some maternity jeans this week.  I'd been trying to stretch the BeBand/Ponytail holder trick as long as possible, but it's just not happening anymore.  I have two pairs of jeans my cousin gave me, but I'm a few inches taller than her, so they don't fit quite as well as I'd like.

My heart is breaking a little...lol...I don't mind looking pregnant, but I just don't care for how sloppy maternity jeans look on me.

  • I can still zip all of mine, but have to use a hairtie to fasten them.

I prefer my 2 pairs of maternity jeans.

  • All three of my favorite pairs still fit, but I've been getting nervous about stretching them out. I shopped around locally for some maternity options, only to discover there is absolutely no maternity selection in my area. There use to be a Motherhood in the 'mall' (if you can even call it a mall!), but apparently it has been shut down for months now.

I ended up ordering a couple pairs off amazon to try out & LOVE them! I highly recommend the DL1961 maternity jeans, the 4 way stretch jean material is amazing and claims to not bag at all (SO TRUE). They don't look like mat jeans and feel like yoga pants. I loved wearing them for Easter dinner as I was able to comfortably stuff myself with food :)

  • I am a FTM, so the idea of typical mat jeans really turned me off before discovering these options. (The 1st option being the above posted DL1961 jeans).

*If you are looking for a pair that look exactly like regular jeans, I would suggest looking into the secret tab maternity jeans. Paige Jeans have these. I was taken back when I opened them because I thought they sent me a regular non-mat pair by accident...until I discovered the adjustable tabs inside.I believe Gap has some like this as well if you don't want to splurge on higher end prices. Good luck! I promise you will end up loving the comfort of the mat pants though once you get over the resistance factor!

  • I'm still in all my regular clothes...I can't wait to start showing though :(
  • i still fit into my regular jeans but like other posters have said, they are not comfortable. i went last weekend and bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans and i LOVE THEM, they are super comfortable. My DH calls them THANKSGIVING jeans, which i am ok with. better then what i had in mind....fat pants. :)
  • I'm still wearing all my regular clothes, however most days it's stretchy pants as soon as I get home, I'm hoping to stay in my jeans for a few more weeks.. That way I don't have to get maternity jeans, shorts and capris.   One can hope!

  • I am pregnant with # 3 and still yet to break out the mat. clothes. I am guessing I can make it about 3 more weeks. Most of my pants are low waist so they don't bother my lil' bump.
