stuffed animals.... oh my.

Is anyone else as picky as me about the eyes on stuffed animals?  I think we only have one gifted stuffed animal that I will let her have because it has embroidered eyes not sewn-on-button=eyes. How do I tell everyone to stop getting these for her since I won't let her have them?  Or do I just let it go and get over it?

Re: stuffed animals.... oh my.

  • I seriously can't stand stuffed animals.  They just sit around and collect dust. If they're not machine washable they go onto shelves or put into "storage".

  • I was just talking about this with my mom. She gave dd a lamb that has eyes and she apologized and told me to be careful. Honestly I don't think she will be able to get them off until she has teeth. But I'm not super worried right now.

  • I hadn't even thought about the eyes! I don't know how I feel about them now. Thanks for bringing this up!

  • We are going to display them in a hammock out of his reach.  Mostly because we got so many we don't have room for them all.

  • All but two stuffed animals are tucked away in a rubbermaid container. I just don't understand stuffed animals, I guess.

Get over it.  Inspect them regularly for loose eyes and move on or put them up unitl your LO is older and can play with them w/out sticking them in her mouth.  From my expierence, most stuffed animals have eyes that are pretty tough to remove.
