My little one turned out to be punctual just like mommy and daddy arriving on her due date Monday, 4/2 at 9:21 p.m. She is an absolute angel!! I wanted to breastfeed right from the start but had trouble with her latching--met with an LC and despite her patience and effort, still couldn't help me get Lauren to latch on and stay. I've been pumping and telling myself that ultimately the goal is for her to drink breastmilk and she is--even though it might not be from direct breastfeeding...I've also been supplementing with formula

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well with their babies!! I love being a mom!

    Pumping isn't so bad.  It's hard at first, but you're doing right in making sure she gets fed in whatever way you can.

     Great job, Mama!  Congrats!

    Have you tried a nipple shield? My daughter had problems latching because she was given formula in the hospital (jaundice issues). I was pumping all day and supplementing with formula for her. I got the nipple shield and she latched right on. I used the shield for a week, and one day she started latching on her own, with no problems since! It saved my life:)
