PP bleeding: foul smelling?

Is it normal for my bleeding/ discharge to be foul smelling? I am 9 days PP, and the blood is no longer red but brown and it smells.

    my doc told me only worry about it if it smells like rotted meat. its going to be foul smelling because its old blood and cells coming out of you.  hope yours isnt infected!! gl!

    I wouldn't worry about it. I agree with the first response. But for your piece of mind you can always call your doctor's office and leave a message.

    Worry when you start to develop a fever and abdominal pain, or (as said in the first post) it smells of rotten meat. It's old blood and tissue that your body is shedding, it's not going to be pretty.

    also sometimes its the pads smelling mized with the blood? try changing your pad more often see if it lessens the smell
