I had my csection tuesday and since yesterday around my stitches is red, is that normal? No bleeding or pus just red all around the incision site-- should I be worried??
If there is pus coming from the area, I would probably call the nurse to be safe. Try to make sure you don't overdo lifting, walking around, etc. Your body still needs time to heal! Good luck!
A little red from movement i normal. Just make sure you're keeping it clean and keep a pad or clean washcloth over it to help it stay dry and keep from rubbing on your clothes.

No pus or anything like that just red... I know, i have to remind myself to slow down and let other people help... Just rather do it myself!
I'm having the hardest time with this too! I had both a uterine rupture and a CS and it is so hard for me to just sit here and do nothing. I hurt like hell when I am up for more than a few minutes but when I'm sitting down as soon as the pain calms down I'm wanting to get up again. I finally had to tell myself I'm on bed rest, and act like bed rest, so I'd stop over-doing it.
No, its just bright red on top of the incision. I had it checked out last night and its fine-- just needed a piece of mind... Don't need that getting infected!

I was the same exact way. But seriously, just let people help you right now. If you take it easy for the first two weeks, you will be surprised how much quicker the recovery time is. And the red is normal but it also tells you that you might be doing too much. Take it easy girl, you do not have to be supermom! :-)

Mine was red too. If it is deep red, looks like it has veins, hurts really bad, feels hot, or has puss then I would start to worry. But I think being a little red is pretty normal. As for the not resting and letting others do it, I really suggest trying to. I had a really pretty easy recovery, and I think it was due to just laying around and letting others do stuff.
Mine is still purplish/red I am 9 months pp! I am fair skinned but I heard with in a year that it should lighten. It is a lot lighter than it was just taking time.
