What's in the goody bag? Anything worthwhile? I started online registries already just to add stuff as I research, but plan on going to the store for most of it. (BBB and Target)

We started in store then finished online. I'm still tweaking a little online. I liked registering in store so I could try out the big items like the stroller and get a visual of all items. Plus, it helped me to know what is available in store as most of my relatives like to shop at a store rather than online.
I started it online but the got overwhelmed with all the choices and not knowing. I went into BRU then and it was easier (still overwhelming though) to be able to see and touch the choices I wanted.

I started mine at Buy Buy Baby and Target in-store and got great gift bags with coupons and samples at both. I then added items online, as needed. I also found it easier in store, because you knew for sure what was carried in the store, which is better for alot of your guests who might not like shopping online.

I started online then went to the store with a list of items I wanted to see in person. This allowed dh and I to only have to be in the store for 30 or so mins. Then I tweaked it at home. Got both goody bags when we went in to Target and BRU.
At Target if you register online there are a lot more options to choose from but then when it comes time for people to buy them for you they may only be able to get them online. At babies r us if you go in the store you get a goody bag and a little booklet with a check list of things to put to your registry and they give you some coupons that you can use after your shower to purchase the items that are still on your registry that nobody purchased for you and you get like 10% off.
Also if you register online you can still go in to the store to pick up the goody bag from both target and babies r us.
We registered in store at babies r us and online for target
Re: Starting a registry in-store vs. on-line... perks?
