Diaper Pails - Diaper Genie vs. Dekor?

Anyone have any advice on which diaper would be better? Long story short I have some Dekor refills that I got for free and wanted to know if anyone has experience with the Dekor? I originally was planning on getting the Diaper Genie but thought since I got these refills for free maybe I'll get the Dekor instead?

    I did not use either of these because I didn't want to have to buy special bags for them. We used the diaper champ which uses regular trash bags. We used it for 2 kids and never had a problem with smell.

    We are not using either because we are cloth diapering, but yesterday my coworker was freaking out because they have the Diaper Genie. His daughter just turned 2 and has not started potty training yet. His crisis? Diaper Genie changed their design since he got theirs, and now the old style refills cannot be found anywhere. That'd be enough for me to look elsewhere for a pail that can take regular trash bags. Now he has to buy a whole new system that he'll only use for a few months. Lame!

    We have the genie and the refills last a lot longer than I thought they would.  Especially once he started DC and most diapers are during the day.  I like the genie.

    Some people I used to work for had the Dekor and they used regular bags, it took some stretching but it could be done.  The only thing that SUCKED was that it was so smelly when you had to change the bags and totally defeated the entire purpose.  It didn't smell while you were filling it, but when you opened it up to change it the room was overwhelmed.  We went with the diaper genie but it is annoying to have to buy the special refills.  Just an FYI, if you are bfing, in the beginning their diapers won't smell so you can just throw them in the trash and not waste the space in either diaper pail you decide go to with. :)

    Actually, this applies to formula-fed babies too.

    We were going to buy a Diaper Genie, but then a friend said she'd give us hers, so we held off. We never got the it, but it's OK. We just put the stinky ones in an old plastic grocery bag and toss them into the regular garbage. My FF daughter is seven months old now and this is still working just fine for us.

    I have the dekor.  I like it a lot.  My LO is 16 monyhs old and we have only refilled it twice.  We don't use it for every changing---nursery changings mostly.
