Daycare question

I go back to work on Monday and put my daughter in daycare two days this week to get both of us adjusted. When I picked her up yesterday I asked them how she did napping. They said that it wasn't very good and that she was looking around a lot all  day. They said that she probably only slept 1 hour. According to her age she is supposed to sleep 5 hours during the day. I am so concerned that she is not going to get enough sleep at daycare . Has anyone else come across this problem? Do you think she will adjust to the daycare environment. I am sure she isn't used to all of the noise and other people and babies around, but she needs her sleep.

    I think she will adjust.  Right now it's new and unfamiliar and there's a lot of new stimulation.  DD starts daycare Monday and I've just resigned myself to knowing she probably won't nap well at first.  But I know she'll get used to it and be fine.

    My son has been in daycare for 2 weeks now. Some days he sleeps 2 hours and some days he sleeps 4-5 hours. It really will depend on the child and the day. At first he rarely slept and now it is more often. They do get use to their routine. Good luck.

    She will adjust. It is a totally new environment and new people for her. She'll eventally get into a routine and start napping more and then as she moves up classes she'll get on a set sleep schedule. It just takes time.
