yeah just tell them it's for the baby and they'll scan it with a wand. I just asked if they could change their gloves before handling it but it was pretty easy.

This! It's super easy..I am flying w BM on Sunday and it's no problem!!
I've never had a problem bringing BM or really any food (pouches, apple sauce, etc.) or drinks (bottles or sippies) on the plane when traveling with Will. I always let the TSA know, but I usually get an eye roll or some other similar lack of concern when I mention it. (I do it anyway, because I'm pretty sure the rules say you are supposed to "declare" it.)
I've even traveled by myself with BM (like when I was pumping and starting to travel for work, I would come home from trips with a cooler full of BM) and have never had an issue - though I was worried about it! You should be fine!
I flew with a pre-mixed container of formula and since it was over 8 oz, they gave me the FULL pat down. On the way back, they just tested it with some chemical pad. I'm sure flying with breast milk would be fine.

Whenever I go through security I take out all the baby related liquids (and purees) they don't count towards your limit of two small ziplock baggies with containers less than 4 oz. BUT they do need to see it and they send it through a separate scanner. But there is no limit and I've never had any issues with it.
