I am expecting #2 this summer and we are team green. I am looking at a really cute pink and gray ring sling that I would love to use with my 2 year old DD, but I know that our wearing days are limited. Do you think I would be silly to invest in a girly sling when #2 could be a boy? I am not sure how I feel about carrying a boy in pink...is it silly? TIA!
Re: Would you wear a boy in a pink sling?
A lot of mamas see a carrier as an accessory for the mama, not an extension of the baby.
That said, if I found a pink carrier I loved, I would totally use it with my boy. And will admit that one of my wraps is a pretty feminine rainbow, but my H will wear it with DS. I say go for it if you love it!
I would, but I've also seen some nice men's dress shirts in pink that I would buy DH.
I try to buy carriers that DH and I will both wear, but he's pretty laid back. He wears the Amitola with no qualms (rainbow). I don't even factor baby's sex into it.
More Green For Less Green
I probably would, but you could also try and trade it with someone in the opposite situation. It's all about what makes you feel comfortable.
I wouldn't worry too much about this since no matter how you dress LO people still call them the opposite sex. People are not very observant. I have a pink wrap and will use it even if this baby is a boy.

This. As long as you're ok with people thinking he's a girl (if it is a boy), then go for it. Personally, it would irritate me so I would go neutral (or wait until I knew the gender).
this is how i feel. any wrap i wear is more a part of my outfit than my baby's.
also, pink is not just for girls!
I personally wouldn't, but the choice is yours!
