I preferred Lansinoh bags. they froze flat very well so they could be organized and stored easily.

It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!
IVF #1 - BFP (6dt)
Unassisted Pregnancy #2 - lost at 15w6d due to T21, severe heart defects, and fetal hydrops
I wish there weren't so many things each acronym could stand for. I had to click on this thread before I realized BM in this instance meant "breast milk" and not "birth mom" or "bowel movement."
Sorry was getting lazy. I still am not sure but are the bags made of plastic, so then do u worry about BPA? Or is that only hard plastics? Getting myself all worked up over shnit I still haven't figured out and baby could decide to come any day...

I really liked the Lansinoh bags too and will be using them again this time around. It says on their website that they are 100% BPA Free.

Medela bags seemed thicker to me and weren't as tall/big so I didn't feel so bummed about the tiny amount I was putting in there. And they have the adapters so you can pump right into the bag if you like that (I don't much). However if you pump lots of milk you might like the Lansinoh bags better. They have a spot for you to write the oz you pump too, which is handy because after it's flattened and frozen those lines on the bag mean nothing.

They are both BPA free. Another factor you might consider is availability. The closest WM to my house sells lansinoh bags but not medelas. If baby comes before you're quite ready you can ask the LC at the hospital for a pump kit. They come with 1 and 2.5 oz bottles. We used these (and more from the NICU) to freeze BM in until I got ready to use the bags.
