After two home pregnancy tests and a blood test it looks like we will have 2u2. My son was born August 5th 2011 (8 months old today!!) and the new baby will be born mid-December. Definitely nervous but excited to be able to get all the "baby" stuff out of the way all at once.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I had to have a c-section with DS so I'm assuming that I will have to with #2 being so close (no time for the incision to heal throughly enough to try VBAC.)

Congratulations! I had to post as we have so much in common!

I'm also due in December (the 8th) and my son was born in August (the 20th) of 2011 with an emergency c-section.

My doctor told me to wait 6 months before we tried for a 2nd if I wanted to try a VBAC, so that's what we did. Maybe you'll get the opportunity after all!

Oh geez! We do have a lot in common! Congrats!! I'll have to talk with my dr about VBAC, she said something like "She will not be able to VBAC for babies 2 and 3" when she was stitching me up. I asked about it at my 6 week check up but she couldn't recall saying it or why. So I'm really nervous about trying it, but I feel like I missed out on something with the c-section. Oh well I guess I've got about 9 months to figure it out.

Hi! My DD was born August 6, 2010 and my DS was born September 28, 2011 (was due 10/30). So not quite the same age gap but almost. I LOVE it!! Definitely nice getting the baby stuff over with at once. DH and I were still in the "mode" so we never got used to sleeping again. The transition was very easy for us as parents, although 2u2 does have its challenges!!
