S/O Yards...Wood Playsets

Anyone have a Gorillia Playset or a Big Backyard playset(toys r us brand)? Do you like it? Any complaints?

The toy r us brand are significantly cheaper than the Gorilla playset but I've read mixed reviews. I do not want to spend as much as a Rainbow playset, and these look like to be the options.

from someone who went with a cheaper wooden set. about five hundred. go with a nicer one. you get what you pay for.

my friend got a swing slide playset from home depot and paid about six hundred plus a hundred on labor and the quality is way better. if i could do over i would do this route

Thanks for the feedback!  Do you remember what brand you bought?

The Gorilla's are around 1,300 and the Toys R US brand ranges from 500-1000. Trying to decide if it is worth it to go with the Gorilla over the other...

I actually bought the Gorilla Jungle Journey at TRU. I like the set but TRU made a mess of the delivery. I'd recommend getting it elsewhere.
  • We got THIS set in May 2010 and it's holding up quite well.  We stained it last year, this year the green "roofs" cracked so we tossed them and cut the tops off that held the roofs up.  It also comes with a chain ladder, the chain got tangled and I didn't like it anyway so we got rid of that part and now we have easier access to the picnic table under it.  Ours was on sale for $1200 and came with a free playhouse during a sale.
  • We just bought this set. It hasn't been put together yet, but the reviews are all really good.
