Feeding LO

Sorry if these are dumb questions, FTM here...  For what it's worth, DS is taking breastmilk from a bottle & is getting close to 13 lbs.

I am assuming that as DS gets older, he will eat more at each feeding but feedings are spaced out farther? I had read that from 1-6 mos they will eat about the same amount daily. Pretty much from one month of age DS was taking about 4oz per feeding, and now he's taking 5oz and sometimes a little more.  Was just wondering what it will look like over the next few months - will he start taking 6 oz or more per feeding, spaced several hours apart?

Also, how do you know when to change from a slow flow nipple to medium?

    Yes, my LO is up to 6 ounces and goes further between...I'm Sure he will eventually hit 8 ounces then when solids are introduced it will go down a bit I believe. As far as nipple size my doc says don't change it unless he seems frustrated, some LOs never go up in size.

    One indication that you might need to move up to a faster nipple is if it's taking LO much longer than normal to down a bottle. But pp is right - I don't think DD#2 ever moved up to a faster nipple, if I remember correctly. I think DD#1 did, though.

    This is random and has nothing to do with the post but I love the pic of your son in the car shirt because my DS has the same shirt so I just think it's adorable!
