So why is it that when I tell DH about when I feel my boy move or kick SO big it is shocking to me, that he replies "Its going to get worse" or "Yep, that's his job". Like its no big deal.
But when its DH's belly-interaction time at bedtime and Archer tries to cram his elbow through my navel or does a flipflop and makes a bellyquake that my DH is suddenly surprised and in awe. He was just doing wild things when I told you earlier and you didn't seem impressed!?
Re: silly DH
Mine too. This week LO has been moving around like crazy and I keep telling him and he is just blazay about it. And of course a couple of times when he was moving a ton I made DH come over and put his hand on my belly, and what does LO do....stops (then again my DH is inpatient and only has the attention span to leave his hand there for like 2 minutes). Anyway, the times in the past he has felt LO move he gets all giddy and like you saw, in awe.
I don't know what's with them. I guess it is hard for them to relate.
This. I have asked my DH to think for a moment about what its like to have a swimmy little human being taking up all of his abdomen. He said "nope. can't" like he didn't even want to take a minute to consider it. Guess he's really happy being male.
My issue is that LO will do those big/wierd movements and when DH goes to look it stops and DH can't look long enough, for whatever reason to see it.
But two days ago he did and was super shocked!I'm just waiting until I can tell eactly what I am getting hit/kicked with and then see what DH's reaction is...men are kind of funny. DH just can't quite wrap his dome around what I am going through, but I can't imagine getting kicked in the balls either, so I guess we are kind of even
.
