1. Are you having your LO's party outside? B's birthday is May 10th, party will be the 12th. I want to have it outside and have actually reserved (not paid yet) a picnic shelter at our park but I'm second guessing it.
Abby's bday is on the 6th. We are having it at our house in hopes that a good portion of the guests will sit outside or in the screened porch. The weather has been unseasonably warmer than usual so we are counting on good weather.
We were going to BBQ, but immediate family on both sides = 30+, so we will order an array of sandwiches and salads and I'll make a fruit and veggie platter. We will have her party around 1, since it will be on a Sunday. I'll make a crockpot of sauce/meatballs/sausage for DH's out of town family who will be staying over and will need to eat dinner.
We are having it outside but it's just my parents backyard. So in case it's a little chilli we can go inside.
As for food, i'm planning on sliders bar for the adults and since wel'll only have a couple kids I'll just have a snack bar for them; goldfish, Cheerios that sort of thing.
1. Outside in a park pavillion. It will be plenty warm here, most likely somewhat hot. The pavillion we selected is in an area that is well shaded by trees so it won't be as bad.
2. Sandwich, fruit, veggie and meat trays and chips and dip. I don't want to have to worry about the electricity not working at the pavillion (at the parks here they don't promise electricity.) Also there will be a large dessert buffet.

Ohhh... deets on this sliders bar, please?

Wow! Now I feel completely non-fancy and red-neck!! We're serving footlong hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, etc. You know, the typical BBQ thing. We're just having a small party of just family and a couple of family friends, so we will drift inside and outside as we want. The weather is still pretty unpredictable in late April, so I don't dare make solid plans either way.
We're having the party at our house and are hoping that it will be nice/warm enough to have everyone outside. I'm planning on setting up some tables and chair and maybe a big blanket on the ground under the big tree in our yard.
For food, we're doing a taco bar. Pulled fajita beef (in the crockpot the day before so I just need to reheat), tequila lime chicken on the grill (pioneer woman's recipe), rice, beans, toppings. Most of the prep will be done the day before so it should come together pretty easily. We're having the party at 1 pm.
We are having it at my parents house--so we are able to be inside if need be.
I have NO clue about food really--ideally I would love some things that we don't have to worry/fuss over that day. I thinking a cold cut platter and various breads for people to make sandwiches.
I am also thinking about making pigs in blankets---which is my family's tradition and a crunchy coleslaw salad--but that is as far as I got.
We are having it at my parents house. If it's nice we'll sit outside. I'm doing a Cinco de Mayo theme- pulled pork tacos, rice, beans, margaritas and Key Lime pie for dessert. We are only having immediate family, my parents, MIL, my grandparents and my sisters.

We are doing Alynn's party on the 19th at our house, so it will be indoor/outdoor.
And since it's an open house we are doing a BBQ, hot dogs, hamburgers, fruit salad, the works.
