I haven't read either, but Happiest Baby on the Block was helpful when I had DD.
I've heard that. Is it just about sleeping though?
No, it's been a few years, but it helped with calming her down. It's really geared towards the first 3 months. If you're looking for something for the entire first year, I wouldn't go with this one, but it was really helpful those first few weeks home.

I think HBOTB is an essential read for all new parents. You learn about the 5 s's to calming a baby. I also liked "The 90-Minute Sleep Program" - teaches you about sleep cycles.

Jen - i have been thinking about you but haven't seen you around much on WCF. How are you doing???
Thanks for thinking of me. It's hard for me to post with that new format from my phone (which is how I do most of my nesting/bumping).
How are you?
Are we friends on fb? I was trying to figure it out the other day.
I am doing good, Starting to get the 3rd tri issues, backache, swelling, etc but nothing terrible yet. You are almost a month ahead of me though!!
Um, not sure about fb friends. I'll try to look when I get home or I'll send you a link if we're not.
I've been having back aches too. I tried getting a massage a couple weeks ago. That worked for the day. I mentioned it to my OB at my last appt. She told me I could go in our hot tub if it was less than 100 degrees & no more than 10 minutes. What a difference! If you have access to a hot tub, DO IT!
Re: Book?
i'm reading baby 411 right now- seems pretty good-
no experience with the other

I read this also. I found it repetitive, so I skipped around a litt, but it was helpful.
Baby 411 is next on my list. I haven't heard f the other one.
