how is femara dosed?

How is femara dosed?  And if I had to take dex to respond to clomid, will I still need it for femara?? Wondering what others experienced....

    Not sure about the dex thing.  Femera comes in a 2.5mg pill.  Lowest dosage 2.5, then 5mg than I think max is 7.5mg.  My dr had me take it from cycle day 3-7 at 5 mg.

    Did you take it both times with your pregnancies?  I've done alot of research looking at research articles and such (I have good access as faculty) so I'm pretty sure I will try it out.  Thanks for responding!

    Actually, I believe the maximum daily dose is 12.5, so five pills each day.  I took 12.5 per day cycle days 3-7.   The first cycle I produced one follicle, did an IUI and didn't get pregnant.  The next cycle I took the same dose of Femara, added in 100iui of Follistim on cd 8-10, I produced two good follicles and one that lagged behind, did an IUI and I got pregnant.

    I was on dexamethasone both cycles but I was taking it to help prevent miscarriage.

    Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

    I only took it with my 1st PG this PG was a surprise.
