Our princess was born on February, 26th 2012 at 5:28pm. She weighed 6lbs even and was 19.5 inches long.
I was induced at 39 weeks. Started at 2am. I tried so hard to do natural but it was too much for me. At 4 cm and 12:30pm, I gave in to an epidural and they broke my water. I was then 5cm and it was about 130 when it kicked in. I was then able to get a nice 2.5 hr nap. After I woke up around 4, I felt a lot of pressure. It seemed too soon to be time to push, so I kept pushing the epidural button. I thought it wasn't working. I kept laboring through it. Then within an hour the contractions were awful, i felt every inch of my body, and it felt like something was tearing it's way out and ripping my body in two. I was not quiet about the instant pain i was feeling. My doctor walked in the room with a bunch of nurses and said "Sounds like it's time to have a baby." After that it was a blur. 4 or 5 contractions later, my daughter was on my chest.
The whole process was amazing and the past few weeks (nearly 6 now) have been amazing. Watching my daughter grow and react and become more and more aware, has been the best thing ever. Being a mommy is the best thing I have ever done.
Picture in my sig! I hope everyone else has had as great of a time as I have. I hope everyone has had a healthy delivery! Best wishes for all of the new mommies, and any soon to be mommies that may be over due.
