Pre-School and Daycare

Teacher Appreciation Week

I'm thinking of getting five small gift bags (tagged with each day on it, Monday, Tuesday, etc.)  with something in each bag  (inexpensive) and giving her all the bags on the first day of appreciation week.

Another idea was to get a gift card and give it to her on Monday.  This gift would be for the entire appreciation week.

What have you done or are planning to do?

  • Our school's pta had a "suggested" list of things we could bring in for the teachers.  It was really cute and had fun with DD picking out the things for her teachers.  I can't remember all of them but they had a day with something sweet (we brought in chocolates), a flower (we bought small potted plants at Home Depot), and a hand made card.  There were two other things but I'm blanking.

  • I like it when the parents get together, chip in a certain amount and then decide what to do with the money- either give a gift card, cash, etc.  It takes the pressure off since everyone gives the same amount.  In addition to that, we did a small lunch fund for the teachers so we could get them lunch each day during the week- I think 3 of the days we cooked lunch for them and the other 2 days we did take out for them.
